So, usually we start such articles with a brief explanation of the thing that we're about to list the benefits of. But, most people already know basically what search engine optimization is. However, I have a description at the end if you would like a refresher.

Let's take a little bit of a detour and answer a FAQ before we get to the juice of the article: "Why does my site even need to be optimized with keywords?"

They ask you to pay up front and no one really has a problem doing that because it's Amazon. The company belongs to Jeff Bezos, one of the richest people in the world, and pretty much every one of us will have a colleague or a friend that has used Amazon. Why would they possibly try to scam anyone at all? But, if you find a product on a weird looking e-commerce site whose name you've never heard if, would you purchase from that site let alone pay them in advance? The answer is probably no.

SEO, or Search Engine Optimization, is the art of getting a web site to the top of the search engines. Now, people don’t generally think of it as an art form because SEO is mostly techy-nerd coding; but it takes a lot more than dropping some generic code into certain places.

But the checklist is not like when a rocket is about ready to shoot into space; it’s not just a matter of all the lights turning green. SEO takes finesse in order to be done right, which is why so few people are truly good at it.
For instance, many people know that content is king as far as SEO is concerned. But you can’t just throw a bunch of words together and get to the top of the search engines. Likewise, you can’t keyword stuff* an article and expect great, consistent results. Good quality content, written well, can help get you to the top of the search engines. But getting good, high quality content is as much art as writing a book.

You might be familiar with the terms “black-hat” or “hacker.” Neither one of these is terms you want associated with your SEO specialist.
